View original postRight now, mostly The National and Kishi Bashi. Sometimes I add some Lumineers, Florence + the Machine, Mumford and Sons, and/or Of Monsters and Men.

I've never heard of Kishi Bashi but I really like all the others. I must look them up so.


I think his real name is Kaori Ishibashi. He was the violinist for Regina Spektor for awhile, if you know her, and then he formed his own band, but he goes under the name Kishi Bashi for his solo stuff that he's done more recently. There are a few of his songs I particularly enjoy — "Manchester", "Pathos, Pathos", and "I Am the Antichrist to You". Despite the titles, I find his songs uplifting and meditative at the same time.
