Don't be poor? I guess inflation will just stay down when everyone is rich?
Don't be born with any sort of handicap? Don't accidentally get sick and end up with a $5000 hospital bill that will throw you in to debt for 10 years (if you ever manage to get out of it), don't make a mistake or be raped ... Are any of those rare?
Your post is severely dismissive of the fact that there are many people out there who aren't like you. That is the one American thing that does really piss me off - four out of my five best friends are teachers, and they will tell you who the 2 or 3 kids are in the class who will have a HUGE struggle to ever be more than a fast food worker (or similar). It's completely shitty to assume that everyone is on an even playing field or has never made any sort of mistake that they may need help to crawl out from under. Or, if they are/have, they automatically deserve to be treated like they just haven't tried hard enough. No wonder so many people are on medication.
