A Gun Show is much closer to ComiCon. And much like ComiCon, less comics and more culture. Last time I went, there were more booths selling stuff then there were booths selling guns.

I saw more t-shirts, memorbelia, knifes, accessories (as in holsters and such), safety equipment (locks/safes), paint ball gear, target shooting stuff, and swords then I saw guns. And at least here in California, you can "buy" a gun there at the event, but you can only pick it up at the store 21 days later (number of days may be a bit off, don't remember for sure).

They sold ammo in one place (a guarded cage outside), and you could only get a certain amount at a time (even though you could come back as many times as you wanted). You just needed an ID for that. There were more food booths & Republican Voters Registration tables then vendors selling guns.

p.s.- Fun fact, I only saw one gun there that was even remotely cool, and it was a "classic" or "historical" piece....an old Colt Revolver from the late 1800's. Beautiful piece that would look great framed & hanging up in my game room (game room to be created once I own a home which will happen when I get money). laughs
