Francis Xavier went to Asia at a time when they were extremely xenophobic to try converting them to Christianity, and Francis of Assisi preemptively pwned every Jehovah's Witness & Mormon ever, by showing up on the doorstep of the Sultan of Egypt to try converting him, IN THE MIDDLE OF A SIEGE. The Sultan actually gave him a respectful hearing before apologetically stating that as the foremost Muslim head of state in the world, converting right at that moment might be a little awkward, politically speaking.
