What you'll note is that the U3 was 7.3 in Dec 2008 and 7.8 in Jan 2009, not as you said "When he left office in 2009, unemployment had gone up to about 10%.". That is just bad numbers, in every respect. More, as I believe I've said, the U6 data is currently 15.2. I've said it over 10 now, by referencing the U6, you've said it was over 10 then, by incorrectly stating the facts. Unless you'd like to point out it was over 10 in Jan 2009 on the U6, whihc it certainly was, but then you'd have to acknowledge I am right that it is over 10 now, in fact over 15%
