If you can prove someone voted illegally, call the ACLU and claim your $1000. Joel Send a noteboard - 28/12/2012 11:18:38 PM
The illegal alien that lived in the apartment accross the hall from me who was registered to, and did, vote would disagree with you. There was a nice piece done by a Florida news opganization on the subject as well with on camera interviews. I could not care less what political pundits and campaign managers say, I beleive what I see with my own eyes. Fraud happens, it always has, and it always will, but that does not mean we should just ignore it.

The ACLU gets involved (as best I can figure) becasue of discrimination regarding age and "people with disabilities." It is stupid, but that is what it is.

So far the only one to claim that prize was an anti-fraud group that found a MN woman who cast an absentee ballot for her daughter because she (incorrectly) thought the latter had not voted at college. Which, of course, was ABSENTEE BALLOT fraud, which, once again, photo ID requirements do NOTHING to prevent. Again, absentee ballot fraud is more common than EVERY OTHER FORM COMBINED. When Republicans "anti-fraud" crusaders start talking about ending that, even though it disproportionately benefits them, they will have credibility with me. Instead, they have publicly admitted they do not give a fig about election fraud, except as an excuse to illegally deny the voting rights of Dems legally entitled to vote.

Not that that has a thing to do with gun control, but feel free to re-open one of the many threads where it has been debated to death if you want to resume the discussion (note: I am not responsible for Isaacs reaction if you do. :P)

When guns are a big national issue, how do reporters & pundits not know facts about them? - 21/12/2012 05:33:14 PM 1641 Views

You should probably clarify it then - 21/12/2012 10:47:26 PM 1093 Views
His post was perfectly clear. Yours seemed like a response to an entirely different post. - 21/12/2012 10:53:39 PM 1255 Views
Explain that remark, it is not obvious to me *NM* - 21/12/2012 11:00:10 PM 559 Views

Oh I wasn't commenting on the standard of people here - 21/12/2012 11:29:36 PM 926 Views
you're largely correct, which is why we need stronger laws on ownership not guns per se - 21/12/2012 09:39:14 PM 910 Views

Never is a long time; just renewing a license requires retaking the eye exam most places. - 23/12/2012 02:16:54 PM 966 Views
Rather hard to do an eye exam online or through the mail. - 26/12/2012 03:08:06 PM 1044 Views
Yes, it is, which is why I have always had to go by DPS for a new license. - 26/12/2012 03:50:04 PM 895 Views
Tennessee and Florida pass them out like candy. For several years TN offered a no ID license - 26/12/2012 08:02:39 PM 893 Views
I still find it odd they require no eye test, that either allows the blind drivers licenses. - 26/12/2012 08:58:57 PM 926 Views
Oh yeah, we have wandered off course *shrug* - 27/12/2012 03:55:55 PM 1032 Views

Laws against murder failed to prevent that, too; clearly they are ineffective and should be repealed - 22/12/2012 06:02:24 AM 1064 Views
Such laws were never intended for prevention, they define actions that will be punished. *NM* - 23/12/2012 12:57:57 PM 596 Views
So do laws against getting a gun without screening, training and certification. - 23/12/2012 02:01:32 PM 884 Views

So we should just *kinda* ignore the Constitution *this* time... But what about NEXT time... - 26/12/2012 08:08:12 PM 867 Views
No, we should enact gun regulation the Constitution explicitly empowers. - 26/12/2012 09:02:12 PM 875 Views
