Hmm. Palatine Send a noteboard - 28/12/2012 11:58:42 AM
There are only five recognized holidays at the end of the year. They are, in roughly the order they usually appear:

I didn't realize you were limiting it to the end of the year.

1. Hanukkah

2. The Winter Solstice

3. Festivus

4. Christmas/Sol Invictus

5. New Year's Eve/New Year's Day

I was thinking about things like Valentine's Day, Mothers'/Fathers' Day, Colombus Day. These are examples of "holidays" that I think are bogus.

Well, make up a name and you have made up a holiday. - 27/12/2012 08:05:38 PM 461 Views
Wait, I thought Kwanzaa WAS Festivus. - 28/12/2012 01:12:22 AM 241 Views
I would wager more people celebrate Festivus than celebrate Kwanzaa. - 28/12/2012 01:30:38 AM 268 Views

Seriously? Columbus Day? - 28/12/2012 01:18:50 PM 273 Views
Genocide Day would be a more appropriate name. Or Imperialism Day, I guess. *NM* - 29/12/2012 12:54:06 AM 105 Views
Too many other Genocides or Imperial expansions, it would be Amerocentric to pick that as focus *NM* - 29/12/2012 01:10:23 AM 102 Views
