Ridiculous. Tom Send a noteboard - 15/11/2012 11:40:23 PM
I rather suspect that the author, in his naivete, is removed from reality and suggesting that Israelis and Palestinians could somehow live together, at a time when even inside Muslim societies Sunnis and Shiites can't find the tolerance to allow each other to remain alive, and Christians are being driven from their homes by Salafist fanatics.

If I were an Israeli commander, the lesson I would draw from that article is that Israel should re-occupy Gaza militarily to ensure that Turkish and Qatari money can't rebuild it. The only one-state solution that is feasible involves forcibly expelling Palestinians from Palestine; with the present state of the Middle East some Israelis might even think they could get away with it.

Granted, I think that Palestinians have a right to a state, but there is so much mutual animosity and distrust I don't see a peaceful option at the present time.
Political correctness is the pettiest form of casuistry.
