Unless they go crazy, most of the sugary crap will still be the cheapest, and it's mostly the less affluent buying it. Besides, it's just plain not fair to try to force people to be good (and presumptuous to pick certain devils) - they need to come up with some other way to redirect people.
And I agree with Tom about the fats vs. sugars. We have to be VERY careful with what we decide is "healthy," given that there are different schools of thought and different results from studies. When I'm being good, I do not worry about fats/calories. I worry about the fake, processed, carby crap. I lose weight, feel a million times better, and when I've had diabetes/lipid tests, I've done very well (heart disease and diabetes run in my family).
