Similar remarks were made in 2008 and we came back with a vengeance in 2010, Obama got re-elected by the skin of his teeth and in 2014 all those senate seats he coat-tailed in come up, in 2016 he's gone and Biden has no chance and Hillary won't be running so I'm not overly worried. Disappointed, a touch heartbroken right now, but tomorrow's another day and all.
Otherwise I agree - although if this election proved anything, it's that vulnerable Democratic seats can prove rather harder to reclaim than one might think, if idiots like Akin are allowed to claim the Republican candidacy. If you look at which seats are up for re-election in 2014, it does look as if there are two or three vulnerable Democratic seats and hardly any Republican ones, but the candidates will still have to be the right ones to claim those vulnerable seats.
What next for Romney and the Republican party?
