So you don't have to think about all the books that are destroyed when your parents' house floods.
I hope the damage was limited to books and that your parents are okay.
Thank you.
My parents are okay. They evacuated, our cars are ok, no trees fell on the house. We had 2 feet of water. I visited, and it turns out, most of the books are actually ok. A lot of the 1st floor furniture will have to be thrown out. The structural damage is unknown. But a lot of the houses down the street were hurt much more. We're on a little hill, so our neighbors water line was at roof level. Just awful.
So this is why you get an e-reader.

Believe me, I can empathize. Unfortunately, hurricanes don't offer many good choices. *NM*

That's awful. And that's actually a fear of mine.

I'm shifting my mindset away from collecting, to just reading - an en e-reader helps with that.
