But it's still difficult for me to think back on those first few years that now feel like a waste. Art will never be the same for me, and it will probably take a long time before I can even make something again. It's sad, but it's good, I suppose...
But I know something about this. It IS good. Don't regret that.
I still feel, I don't know, sub-par(?) for switching to Landscape Hort/Design from Landscape Architecture after a couple years, but the truth is that I could not stand the snooty, technical nature of the latter program. Sure it is more prestigious, but I'm just not that kind of person. And I love biology and related sciences. The skills you learned earlier will come in handy when you least expect them, and it will make your education richer in general. I'm serious. I'm old now and I know. I ended up accidentally getting the best education (several years technical and several years scientific) for what I am currently doing.
What is/are the biggest issue(s) you've had to work out in your personal life so far?

For me, the theme is something like "family: secrets vs. expectations of normality"
