Like when Romney insisted a mother of four not have an abortion to save her life?

Heart conditions/failure, infections, high blood pressure, and cancer.
It disgusts me that people are would be willing to throw away the life of the mother on the off-chance that the fetus might still live despite her death. Not to mention the chance that the mother you just gave a potential death sentence may have existing kids/family that she might like to live for. (I mean, we all know that kids need a father AND a mother right? Don't even get me started on that one...)

The guy went to the hospital uninvited to harangue her about it even after a higher ranking church leader said (like official Mormon doctrine) saving her life justified the abortion. Yet he expects us to believe he would not sign a federal ban on ALL abortions if Walsh had enough Congressional colleagues to pass it (though he said in this years primary debates he "would be delighted to sign that law," and only regrets there are not enough Congressmen to pass it.)
I really thought we were past all this, that, as a nation, we had agreed abortion was acceptable to save a womans life and for rape victims, and that the remaining debate was whether/how long purely elective abortion should be legal. Apparently not; if Republicans win a week from Tuesday the US House, Senate, Supreme Court and President will all agree the federal government should outlaw ALL abortions, even for rape victims and/or to save a womans life.
The question is no longer that statements validity; GOP congressmen have fallen over each other racing to publicly corroborate it just within the past few months. The primaries are long done, so they are not pandering to far right voters needed for nomination: This is the genuine and sincere policy they offer the whole nation. The only questions now are whether voters agree and, if not, whether issues on which they do agree are more important. We will get the answers in 10 days....

Why is a 12 year old getting pregnant? Traffic doesn't care if jaywalkers are 12 or 30.

Because she was raped; sex w/ 12 year olds, "consensual" or not, is pretty much illegal everywhere.

I hear ya, but factually lacking policies are only plausible on a factually flawed basis.

first, I should clarify that these are the opinions of some, not all "Republicans,"

It is demonstrably the opinion of Republican federal lawmakers, which is what counts.

How about, if you have those conditions, don't get pregnant!

None of those myths would justify abortion, even if they were real.
