Thing is, I usually don't even realize I've said it. It'll be when my friends just stare at me or otherwise react that I realize I'd used "bloody" or something (but, I probably get that as much from WoT as anything else, since I've been reading the danged series for 20 years or so (half my life!).
Yeah, that is special case for WoT fans; it can easily slip into language unintentionally.
And calling it a flat is so much easier and quicker than saying apartment. BLAH! I hate typing that word too. I think I actually started using flat in text messages and IMs before I was saying it.

Posh? I just like the word. I don't actually say it out loud often if at all, but it gets used by my stream of consciousness voice most of us have.
I never thought of that as an exclusively British word, so no biggy.
