Matthew Chapter 1 states that after Jesus birth that Joseph consummated his marriage with Mary and thus after that it follows Mary is no longer a virgin.

It says he didn't consummate his marriage until she bore a son. It doesn't clearly say that he did consummate it after that, and evidently that's why the Catholic Church maintains Mary always remained a virgin.
