There's nothing retroactive about the Immaculate Conception: the Roman Catholic Church holds that Mary was conceived and born free from original sin from day one. Which if you ask me makes no sense and kind of undermines the concept of Jesus being a "son of man", if he is born in parthenogenesis of a woman who's unique and preferred over all other humans in her own right, but my opinion is besides the point here.
