"For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil,"

First, I try to get to the root of the problem. The main point that people gripe about is that there are so many jobs outsourced to foreign countries. What's the root cause of this? Companies exist for one reason: to make money.
Companies shouldn't exist solely to make money. Companies should exist to provide services and goods that are needed within the community. This reductionist attitude, that it's all only about money, is one of the root causes of the problem.
"for which some have strayed from the faith in their greediness, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows."
I still cannot understand how the "Christian" right reconciles their beloved profit motive with the Golden Rule (and I Timothy 6:10.) The more we look at profit motive the less morally defensible it becomes. It is one thing to say everyone earns the fair market value of materials and labor they invest in products they sell, but "profit," by definition means "returns exceeding investment." Whence comes that "wealth creation"? It is not from materials, nor from labor: Those are already accounted for; people who only get the market value of their materials and labor do not profit, only break even. To profit, they must get MORE than their materials and labor, and while that is not theft so long as it is voluntary, it does smack of fraud. Maybe I can convince someone to trade me $5 for $1, but can I really call that moral...?

Repeal ObamaCare, for a start. But that's like taking a bucket of water out of the Titanic.

The left does not believe higher corporate taxes create jobs; it believe they reduce federal debt.

A reply to a single paragraph should result in a reply back of manageable length... right?

I do not think the first and fourth paragraphs of my response to him should count as two paragraphs.
