Whoa, I know you! Joel Send a noteboard - 18/09/2012 08:39:49 PM
Yeah, I forgot about the extra timeout. It is not really related to the refs, but one of my pet peeves came up last night: Coaches should be able to challenge until they run out of TOs, period. Denver got VERY lucky our only first half score happened inside two minutes, because we were out of coach challenges after Fox foolishly blew one challenging a 12 man on the field penalty. One of these days there will be a game-changing and obviously blown playoff call (like the clearly in bounds Oilers TD against the Steelers ruled out in the '79 AFC Championship, which prompted instant replay in the first place,) the coach will have won three challenges and Hell will break loose.

Oh, and the one Ref who was urging on one of the players to do better to help his fantasy team.

I missed that one, unless it was the same ref who called the Saints game after posting all the FB pics of himself in Saints gear. Moral: NEVER use you real name on FB; I am not saying employers and law enforcement will not find you anyway, but there is no sense making it easy for them.

That's certainly making me sure they're making the calls in the right state of mind.

*shrugs* Most are not competent to make the calls in ANY state of mind, else they would have been doing it already and be striking now, or at the very least calling games in the SEC or some other high profile SECAA conference. These guys are the rejects of the rejects, and it shows.

So, anyway, how are things? What goes on these days? Thoughts on the latest biannual dog and pony show? Have you returned to run RAFO Chat? *runs*

Then you haven't been watching the games. - 19/09/2012 06:18:39 AM 384 Views
Agreed; even as a Denver fan I was disgusted they marked off the wrong yardage on that penalty. - 18/09/2012 05:54:07 AM 321 Views
Exactly. 10 yards for a 5 yard penalty is inexcusable - 18/09/2012 03:57:05 PM 386 Views
My favorite one was week 1 where the Seahawks got 4 timeouts. - 18/09/2012 07:33:28 PM 397 Views
