After watching Tracy Porter ice a game FOR Peyton last night, I am not likely to forget that.

Go back and look at some of those wins he had in his SB season. He made a lot of great plays at the end of games to come back and win buthey only reason he was on the field to make those greatplays is his D forced a turnover and gave him great field posistion.
Still, the Saints D was the unit that only had to be "good enough" to ride a great offense to victory, rather than the reverse. New Orleans scored 510 points in 2009, 1st in the league, while the 341 points they gave up was 20th overall despite all the time they ran off the clock with Reggie Bush and Brees. They were not AWFUL, but Brees certainly did not ride his D to a Super Bowl: They rode him there, or Payton would not have started the second half with an onside kick; he would have just expected his D to stop the Colts again and get back the ball.
Honorbound and honored to be Bonded to Mahtaliel Sedai

Yah, I could not get coverage, but when I saw that TD w/ 0:20 showing, I figured they were toast.

The Colts have never had a good D: They rode Manning and his line for a decade.

Brees had more than a little help form his D

Peyton Manning looked nigh on unstoppable in the second half.

Yeah, he was a machine, and the line protected him far better than I expected.

Peytons lines started going downhill after the first SB; not coincidentally, so did his performance.
