Disaster is such a huge word. That's not visible from over here. We mostly see his foreign politics and of course in that regard he was a huge improvement over the catastrophic Bush years.

So, because I honestly don't know, let's talk domestic politics and name a few brief examples:

1. Whose lives has made Obama worse? How? (i.e. housewives, by deciding This.)

2. Can anyone think of people who may have benefit from his decisions?


One reason I'm still vaguely pro-Obama is that, however timidly, he's advanced LGBT rights far more than anyone elected by the Republican party would have. Such a social change won't fix the economy... but the economy will largely fix itself, whereas the future of social change is more likely to be effected by the ongoing support or neglect of the government and its visible leaders.
