The big fuss over here doesn't seem to have made much of an impact in the UK?

I think I would have preferred anyone in the breakaway over vino to win - shame when he pretended to retire to try and dodge a long ban he didn't actually mean it.
I didn't actually see the race myself (sounds like my watching the women's instead got me the better deal by far - the three escapees there were impressive, but Vos deserved the win, I'm thinking), but the Belgian and Dutch cycling journalists are treating it as pretty much an established fact that Vino bought the victory, yet again.
Supposedly Uran's reaction to Vino's final attack was ridiculous and just not believable at all, so they figure he did what he did to win Liege-Bastogne-Liege a few years back, when it was Kolobnev whom he paid to lose.
What's everyone looking forward to in the Olympics?

Also, this is a good article - about Ruta Meilutyte, Ye Shiwen and child prodigies in sport.

I disagree with the conclusion that their careers are finished by having won so young.

Yes, it seems to rely on a shakey assumption that people aren't going to want to keep competing
