We don't actually have laws in Canada; we have politely-worded Suggested Guidelines for Living (SGLs). You may choose not to follow the guidelines if you don't wish to, in which case a polite judge will allow you to pay a fee and will sometimes have a nice man escort you to a comfortable jail cell.
