There was bound to be one the majority of responders missed despite its prevalence; just happened to be that one. It is popular enough that, even though I have never seen it, I immediately remembered it once I saw the answer, just on the basis of hearing others discuss it.

It is still a bit weird seeing all the shows we grew up with get a treatment similar to what Leave It to Beaver and the Munsters got when we were kids. Back then it was just a matter of a growing number of TV stations needing the kind of cheap entertaining programming shows popular thirty years ago provide, but it evidently established a nostalgic demand now being met through parody. *waits for the debut of the Rockford and Kojak Comedy Hour*
