Re: Well that does limit his options- a cage match. Isaac Send a noteboard - 20/04/2012 04:44:11 PM
Although I'll point out that in melee, Iron Man is mostly reliant upon brute strength rather than skill or speed, which Batman has in spades.

Batman's got human-ish strength, depending on writer, bench press or dealift in the mid-hundreds of pounds kinda zone, Ironman has routinely thrown vehicles around, not really the same zone.

If it wasn't a cage match, more of a "they both have time to plan" scenario, what do you think?

Well both are dangerously genre savvy, if they both had prep time the answer would be 'who wrote the episode?' and probably a draw, it's something of a military catechism then anyone with half a brain, decent self-discipline, serious motivation, and some training could kill pretty much anyone, no matter how elite, if they wanted to and the other person wasn't specifically expecting it. So the answer in a real-world sense would pretty much be whichever moved first and didn't have any particular hesitation about killing or maiming the other guy. Which is why the Punisher or Jack Bauer sorts typically are very effective. With that in mind, these two effectively equally combatants (ya know, minus Stark's titular power armor) would mostly come down to who is the bigger bastard, which in most portrayals would be Stark.
The intuitive mind is a sacred gift and the rational mind is a faithful servant. We have created a society that honors the servant and has forgotten the gift.
