We don't celebrate communist holidays in the US (e.g., May Day).
It's not just communist countries that celebrate International Women's Day, though it's true it's only in Russia and the neighbouring countries that just about everybody seems to get two and a half days off for it...
And as for Labor Day, you might as well just give up and bow down to the inevitable.
