i'm s professional behavioral counselor for dogs, and i like making sure that people know where to go for safe, reliable educational info...
this is a weirdly put question... i guess you're asking what pets i have? because i could interpret this to be asking if i have a car and a house, maybe... anyway, i have 4 dogs and 2 cats.
i haven't had other types, unless you count the husband. i grew up with dogs and had cats in summers in israel.
3/6 are rescued, the others are from breeders. the cats are siberian forest cats. the cavalier king charles spaniel is from a breeder but he was supposed to be my sister's dog (he was broken though). my big black and tan is from an animal control, the pyr is from pyrenees rescue in colorado and the gsd is a guide dogs for the blind reject i rescued from my friend.
cats - sasha and oksana, gsd - bsya, pyr - lila, black and tan - share, cav - kona.
they are each interesting. the cats pee on stuff when they are upset, but other than that oksana is the best kitty ever. sasha is pretty funny and huge. share is my soul dog and he is awesome. he's also the best trained because he was first. i became a dog trainer so i could get him and not screw it up. lila is blind and has seizures and barks all the time because she's a pyr and can't see stuff so sound and hearing are stronger and sometimes overwhelming. she's on drugs for the seizures. she is my heart dog... kona is an awesome little dude who has come a very long way and now loves people and petting and he does nosework which is very very fun. baya has degenerative myelopathy and is currently deteriorating very very slowly and it sucks. she is great, loves dogs and everyone, and also does nosework.
regarding what? i love my animals even when they are annoying there was a great standard poodle i fostered that i sometimes wish i could have kept, but i already had 4 dogs the time and i know she has a great loving life in nyc with my physical therapist friend. i don't go about thinking about changing the past when i can't do it. future dogs will hopefully be rescued, but i want puppies, because that's my favorite thing to do (raise excellent and independent dogs to be part of dog society and people society) and sometimes that is tough to find in rescue... i also really want a dutch shepherd (short coat) so we'll see.
It occurred to me that I don't know what kind of pets any of YOU have, other than a few exceptions.
Who has what?

Is that your favorite type of pet?
i haven't had other types, unless you count the husband. i grew up with dogs and had cats in summers in israel.
Did you adopt a stray/shelter pet? Or buy from a breeder?

What is your pet's name?

Is it a good pet?

This is going to be a horrible question, but: would you make a different decision now?
