Think about the little girl who was abducted in California when she was 11. If that had happened in to many places in the world it would have been considered a theft and her father would have been seen as the victim. Our the bastard could have simply bought her and no body would care.

I think stories like this go beyond things like feminism and go to basic human rights. People should not be bought and sold even if it their own parents selling them. I know it is the custom any many places but then again so was slavery. The selling of child brides should be treated as slavery.
