Damn good point Isaac Send a noteboard - 01/02/2012 06:47:06 PM
I'm exhausted of people moaning about elections as though we only vote for POTUS once every four years and utterly disregarding everything local, especially since damn near every place has a board of elections wiht a website that lets you pull up your own local ballot a month in advance so you can research everyone on it. Not sure how it is in Texas but I personally get to vote, over the course of any 2-6 year period, for roughly 65 elected positions plus their primaries. I've got my .pdf of my ballot for when my absentee arrives and there are 25 elections or issues for me to vote on this March, albeit several of the primaries are unopposed. If more people bothered to remember elections happen twice a year and not every 2 or 4 years, and actually bothered to spend even a fraction of the time researching all those downticket candidates that they spend bitching about politics and how their vote doesn't matter, they'd know things are very grassroots.
