Look up the google news history of May 16, 2009 to May 18, 2009 (very easy to set specific dates with google news). On May 16th Obama nominated Huntsman every news story seemed to point out that Obama was purposefully sending a potential political rival away. Either he would run in 2016 when Obama (but not the Ds could care less) or that if he run in 2012 he would be running against his former boss.

The articles talk about political strategy, the post you made said that the GOP wouldn't vote for him because he took a job from their sworn enemy Obama. That is not the case at all and those articles and the political maneuvering they discuss have nothing to do with the original claim in the article you posted. Again, Huntsman is not losing because he took a job from Obama, he is losing because most people don;t know who he is and he doesn't get the play from the media that Romney and others do.
