Do you want to sight see? The shortest distance between two points is a straight line otherwise.
There's unlikely to be any major sightseeing other than what can be seen out the car window. Mostly it'll depend on which route I end up needing to take to reach Texas in the first place, either along the mountains (which would bring me to Lubbock) or down the plains (which would bring me to Fort Worth). I like the sound of the hill country in Texas, as far as driving goes. Straight, flat lines aren't as interesting to drive.
If you want to see this, head to West Texas. Though everything will be in Spanish...
