But maybe it depends on the state? And maybe that's not a good thing, judging by the drivers I see out here. I'm here in Texas and I don't know anybody who has ever failed a driving test. Well, except for my sister but she has wrecked every car she has ever driven so she doesn't really count.
But yes, while I don't know the exact statistics, the popular impression here certainly is that more people fail their first driving test than not. I guess that means the test might be considerably more difficult and hard to compare.
And even if you don't actually try to make it difficult, just the greater presence of other cars in an urban environment makes it much more difficult automatically. If there weren't many other cars present I'm sure I would have passed with flying colors.
