Television appearances are generally a very bad way to assess intelligence

I rather like Huntsman from what I've heard of him but then again I haven't really followed all of the current circus and won't until the clowns you mentioned are gone and the focus becomes turning the country around and defeating Obama. I hope Huntsman can afford to stay in until the others are gone, a discussion between the only three who seem to have a brain would be nice.
Cain has a BS in Mathematics and a Masters in Comp Sci from back in '71 when even knowing how to operate a computer generally implied you were MENSA material, and was a ballistics analyst, which for the record means 'has a brain'. I don't think there's a lot of room to question his intellect, and his business experience and NRA time pretty much rule out Ivory Tower limitations. He sucks at foreign affairs and he's not well-polished for prime time limelight TV, and those are legitimate things to criticize him about as a candidate but one or both would also apply to 99% or more of the population. I lean toward Gingrich or Romney myself but most definitely not over any fears of Cain's intellect. Almost everybody who doesn't have a lot of practice looks basically like their IQ was converted from Fahrenheit to Celsius when they get on any stage where they don't benefit from a friendly and/or relaxed environment, and nobody looks good under a microscopic especially when they speak for hours and hours and there's someone sitting back reviewing it to find the worst fifteen seconds to put on air or write about.
The intuitive mind is a sacred gift and the rational mind is a faithful servant. We have created a society that honors the servant and has forgotten the gift.

Yeah, what we really need are people who are totally unqualified for the position.

How is a reference to the Berlin Wall out of line when people are calling for a wall on the border?

Just because both contain the word "wall" doesn't mean they are the same thing.
