Shoplifter severely injured falling from curb in presence of Marines

Sorry I don't have a link, just saw a scanned image of an article on facebook, but here is the gist.
A guy was stealing a laptop from Best Buy when confronted by employees. He pulled a knife, and ran for the front door, where there were several Marines getting donations for a Toys for Tots drive. The Marines stopped him, and he stabbed one of them in the back, though it was only a minor injury.
The suspect, meanwhile, was taken to the hospital once the police arrived. He had two broken arms, a broken ankle, a broken leg, missing teeth, possible broken ribs, a broken nose and jaw along with several other bruises and lacerations. According to the police report, these wounds were suffered when he slipped and fell off the curb after stabbing the Marine.
