I also believed that until a recent lecture I had in reindeer ecology and reindeer husbandry. While most sarvar (male reindeer) do lose their antlers in November/early December, some, especially young males, can keep theirs until January. But I think it's only a few, but I can ask them how common it is, if you want to.
