Your statements on the English Civil War are, as Larry said, execrable. You really should read a decent book on the subject. Veronica Wedgwood's series The King's Peace, The King's War and The Trial of Charles I are a good place to start. Antonia Fraser's biography of Cromwell is also a recommended read.
I may be a little too indulgent of the Stuarts, but, OTOH, it seems to me most people are a bit too indulgent of Parliament as well. End of the day, they removed their lawful monarch not once, but twice, incidentally removing Scotlands into the bargain and over its rather forceful protest. As has already been noted, the American Revolution was pretty tame by comparison; we may have renounced George III, but even Patrick Henry never tried to kill him.
