You say that like it is a bad thing. Joel Send a noteboard - 04/10/2011 11:32:15 AM
Disney World was lovely. Didn't have enough time to truly enjoy it all. My son did get to meet all his Mickey Mouse Clubhouse heroes, though.

Living Seas in Epcot was disappointing, given it was closed for renovation six years ago the last time we went and we thought we were missing something.

I saw Phineas and Ferb. In person. Or persons in.

Took an airboat ride and stood in an alligator's nest. Yes, there were baby gators. And I don't mean tiny Tim Tebows.

I think next time I need more Disney's Hollywood Studios (used to be MGM) and less Epcot (though I like Epcot). Probably the same amount or more of Animal Kingdom. Magic Kingdom is more obligatory than exciting. I'd also give Sea World (not part of the Disney experience) another go. Sea World needs better marketing and some mascots with cartoons.

I walked for hours upon hours in 90+ degree heat. Drank my weight in water several times. Also enjoyed one childless dinner out with my wife. You parents know what I'm talking about.

Glad ya'll had fun. Unless he really IS the Second Coming of Elway, I would be very grateful to never hear the name "Tebow" again. I remain unclear how the second worst 2010 team getting stomped by the defending SB Champs in their own house changes anything, but with fans seemingly convinced the only debate is whether to start Tebow or Suck for Luck I am almost afraid to visit any Broncos sites.

Anyway and once again, glad ya'll had a good time. If it helps, I can relate to the hours of walking in 90° heat; back before the Johnson Space Center was privatized so someone in the private sector could make a killing off something built with tax money I made many a trip through there, and the main thing I remember is the interminable walking. Even better than the Saturn V lying on its side out front, or the lunar module you can climb inside and explore (though "explore" may not be the best word for something about the size of your bedroom closet.) The important thing in either case is that you have fun, or rather, that the kids do; being a parent means you no longer get to go to places like Disneyworld for YOUR enjoyment. ;)
