The old saying "if you're not paying money, you're the product being sold" isn't universally applicable, but it certainly applies in Facebook's case. It's true that you're not exchanging your currency for Facebook's services, but you're exchanging the rights to use your personal information for profit. Seems to me that this still entitles you to an opinion on how Facebook is run. You're still trading something of value in return for something of value. You're still a customer.
