My wife works with a guy who twisted his leg snow skying and he has no insurance. The state gave him an MRI and are paying to have an operation o his knee. My Mother-in-law had no health insurance and a lot of medical problems so they put her in clinic program where she could get regular care and discounted medication. If you go to the local county hospital about 70% of the children being born there are being born to women who are in the country illegally and both them and their children are being given free high quality health care. I don't think Texas gets accused of being a blue state very often.
Yes it is harder if you don't have insurance but the idea that people without insurance can't get medical treatment is a fallacy. Even the ones like the guy I mentioned with the bad knee who can afford a week in Vail bit can't afford insurance.
