Go to parties, talk to people in your class, and do lots of fun stuff. There are plenty of time to study later on.
There will be lots of other people new to the city and looking to form friendships.
If you are new to the city, have a whole day of just wandering around and get to know the city. Bring a map, so you can trace your route. I've been to Helsinki twice, and it wasn't a very difficult city to navigate in.
Get some friends. Then get some more friends.
If you share kitchen - ALWAYS DO YOUR DISHES RIGHT AFTER FINISHED EATING. If everyone mind this simple rule, it will spare everyone a lot of frustration.
Good luck - you have lots to look forward to; uni life is great

Far from it.
I am just large enough.
Fill myself completely

from top to bottom.
Are you larger than yourself maybe?
