She realizes that her chances of actually winning the nomination are next to nothing, but if she can pull in enough votes and the contest between Perry and Romney lasts long enough, she hopes to get a VP slot.

Personally, if I were Romney or Perry, I would consider Gingrich as a running mate before I'd consider Bachmann. His legislative experience is perfect for the only actual job of the VP - President of the Senate. He also did extraordinarily well at the debate and knows his stuff, and in a VP slot the Presidential candidate can dictate the terms of debate to avoid gaffes like his "Paul Ryan is wrong" campaign-killer.
