I went to a graduation party, and I gave the graduate some cash for his accomplishment. It's been over a month, and I have not yet received a Thank You note. Am I wrong in thinking that it probably should have come by now? Am I being impatient?
What is an acceptable amount of time to send a TY note out?
What is too long to wait to send them?

I'm assuming this is high school graduation.
He may be bogged down with work, trying to get prepared for college and he'd just be having his mind in 20 different places at once, especially if he's going to an entirely different area. He may have honestly forgotten about it amidst the chaos. I wouldn't take it personally. Maybe give him a call and squeeze in an "oh, did you get the gift?" (assuming you didn't give it to him in person.)
Go Hokies!
