
Frankly, I seriously doubt that last part at this point, and am starting to think voting my conscience with a third party literally costs me nothing. Yet another reason I wish America had Instant Runoff Voting, but not much chance if that if a more liberal multipartisan country like Britain couldn't pass it (IMHO, because its supporters refused to vote for it without proportional representation, a bad idea anyway, and a really bad idea when it kills a great idea like IRV).
