My Dad is cheap as hell Roland00 Send a noteboard - 28/06/2011 10:15:58 PM
Furthermore he is still recovering from a divorce that ruin his credit and thus has a lot of debt.

The computer I upgrade him to (and the current one I am fixing.) is an acer aspire x1200-u1520a. It has an amd dual core 4850e at 2.5 ghz, 4gb of memory, 320gb 7200 rpm harddrive, nvidia 8200 graphics (this is fast enough to do HD video and the computer comes with HDMI.) This computer is almost 3 years old.

His previous computer, the one that wasn't quite dead but I got so tired of that I upgraded him for his birthday was an emachine with a celeron processor at 500mhz. I don't remember the ram or hard drive. I don't remember how old this computer is but saying about 10 years or so is about right.

You don't have to be a big fan to acknowledge it's at least very nearly as good, and free. - 28/06/2011 10:51:31 PM 455 Views
