where I occupy more of a dream-sphere than a waking one. That is to say, the content and intensity of my dreams is such that my interest in real life takes a backseat -- I find myself preferring to sleep, and waking up can have a great sense of disappointment. I think it is sort of contingent upon a general malaise in my life, where I feel that the only real change I am experiencing is subliminal, or unconscious. Usually during these times my dreams will follow a pattern, though I've never had an actual recurring dream, and I tend to become obsessed with what is going on under the surface, so to speak.

Even when not in one of these 'phases', my dreams are a constant source of interest and inspiration. Sometimes I write songs or stories based on them. I do write dreams down often enough, especially if they are 'big dreams'. Haven't been so good about this lately, though.

There's more I would say because I love this subject, but time does not allow and I hate to betray too much of the extent of my obsession. I do enjoy a good conversation about this though.
