I know you hate the cops and all but try and use some rational thought. How is this different that the police just following you? What information can they get from this that they couldn't get from following you? The method changes nothing. Do you object to police trailing people they suspect to see what they are doing? At please cool it with the silly "get warrant before you investigate" noise. They have to investigate in order to get a warrant to actually invade your privacy because despite the paranoia on the fringes of society they can't get warrants without some evidence to support it.

the warrant system exists for precisely this reason: it's not ok for the police to just track your every move without probable cause. these guys in this situation had probable cause or else they wouldn't have been tracked. so it should not have been too much of a big deal for the police to get a warrant in this case. do you not understand that this is an erosion of your own rights as a citizen of the US to let this practice exist without the warrant?
