I'm trying to figure out just what your "gifts" are, because I don't see any. Tom Send a noteboard - 12/05/2011 07:30:39 PM
You were flat-out wrong with your citations and with what you said. Every single sentence of what you said was wrong from a factual standpoint.

Okay, so you're weak on the facts. You also show that you don't know what the work you claim to be building your life around ACTUALLY SAYS. I think that's terrible. That would be like if I didn't understand the basic principles of the legal system.

So, we now have (1) weak on facts, (2) unfamiliar with core Scripture. Let's go on. You also completely ignored what I said about a distinction between being a sinner and trying to deny the sin. That's not only a rupture of the letter of the law, that's a rupture of the entire spirit of Christianity and the entire teaching regarding redemption. "Go and sin no more". I repeat that. "Go and sin no more". How can you make an effort to sin no more if you're in a state of denial about the existence of the sin in the first place?

By your own standards of faith, you are risking being in a "gravely deficient state", as Benedict XVI would term it.

I personally have nothing against a Church that says, "We're going to accept homosexual priests because we view the Bible as a flawed work written by humans and influenced by prejudices and bigotry, and we choose not to follow the injunctions of Leviticus with respect to homosexuality, and to ignore Paul's indignation in Romans and Jude's indignation in his book." That would be honest.

Instead, I see hypocrisy.

Political correctness is the pettiest form of casuistry.

– Procopius
