I have more than three reasons. My reasons are as followed:
1. Used to it (kind of important)
2. More organized (very important)
3. *related to 2 Its easier to read what you want to read in posts and to decide which track of the conversation you want to follow. Just because one person is posting crap at one point doesn't mean they always do, so ignoring them isn't a viable option.
4. *also related to 2 You can further pick the replies you read based on poster should you choose. Not just the ones you don't want to read but also posters you enjoy reading and want to read. Further, these may be people who have been away for a while or that haven't posted in something you're interested in lately but you open a thread to find a treasure, so and so posted, what do they have to say?
5. It makes the site different and unique
6. Visual appeal (looks far more appealing than jumbled messes with no rhyme or reason that other boards have)
7. So much easier to link to a specific post, especially if the post is a reply to something than on other sites.
8. Ease of use.
9. More personal conversations. You feel more like you're talking to one person. Its more like sitting around the table at a big family dinner, maybe at a celebration in a restaurant. People have different conversations going, it could just be you having a one-on-one conversation with Great Aunt Sally and you know who you're talking to, but hey, someone else could overhear and comment, but you still feel like you're having that personal conversation. The type of board you think is so great is more of a stand up in class and give your report kind of think. You're talking to everyone. LAME.
10. New doesn't mean better, sometimes old is just as good if not better.
Is this enough points for you? If not, NB me and I will come back and add more. Good day, sir.
