He really gives off the vibe of being someone's old, cute-but-stern grandpa. He has done some things for the state that have really worked, but he's also pissed off some people (teachers, etc). He tends to make sense re: some of things on which I disagree with Obama's people, but he also wouldn't have trouble ripping apart some of the things I do like that they've put in motion. It would all be in the name of fiscal responsibility, of course (listen to him talk on that - it's pretty convincing), but it would still be shredded.

I'm not sure on foreign policy yet, but he seems very... sensible in many of his other actions/bills, etc. I am cautiously optimistic.
