I was surprised none of our resident physicists posted on this. At any rate. I remember them sending it up, and on Wednesday they announced the results: there is a space-time vortex around the Earth, just like Albert said. (Although I am not sure the result is "epic"...)

I love this stuff. I wish some of it would actually stay in my brain, but maybe I have a special space-time vortex keeping all physicsy stuff out of there.

You should read George Smoot's Wrinkles in Time. It explains it all in a way that made sense to me when I was 16, and it is written by a Nobel Prize in Physics winner.

So cool. (And part of the "epic" is that it took 47 years to finish) - 07/05/2011 04:36:41 PM 389 Views
That would make the experiment epic, not the result - 07/05/2011 04:38:04 PM 371 Views

Wasn't it already been proved with warping the light passing near Sun? *NM* - 07/05/2011 08:53:17 PM 239 Views
