That makes me think of those flighty folk who jump between religions like clothing, Wiccan one month, Catholic for Lent and Easter, Buddhist for a couple months and Hindu by the end of the year and oh no maybe....

Lose faith...loose faith? Either way....it still kinda works. Those flighty folk who do change faith systems like you describe actually have none. Why? Because true faith doesn't jump ship when the opportunity arises.
